VACANCY: Full Time Finance Officer / Manager

Responsible for: Accounts Assistant
Contract: Full time – Permanent Purpose: A pivotal role at the heart of the organisation. The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective running of the operational finance of our business. Working closely with the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, the Finance Manager will play an active role in supporting and strengthening the financial resilience of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible and Supervision for all income & reconciliation across all daily sales channels. This includes, ticket shops, a central phone room office, a café & theatre box office.
Posting and Reconciliation of all income on XERO Responsible and Supervision of checking and inputting petty cash, credit card and expense claims VAT Raising of sales invoices and ensuring they are accurate
Collating all invoices due to seek authorisation from MD and COO for pay Pay our theatres and creditors weekly, ensuring all checked and correct for pay
Ensure procedures for banking are always adhered to
Monitoring debtors and ensuring payments are made on timely basis
Ensuring the weekly reconciling of all bank transactions
Regular monitoring of cash balances
Pulling off Profit and Loss reports on a regular basis across company and specific channels
Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet for Directors reports and ensuring they have up to date financial information Preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly finance reports to COO/MD
In-depth reporting on overheads and revenue to assist the MD and COO to plan accordingly
Support COO, including in the preparation of the annual budget Year-End Ensuring fulfilment of Inland Revenue and other statutory responsibilities, including raising monthly HMRC payment and end of year return
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Posting of all entries relating to VAT Month-End Tasks
• Proficient in the use of Excel
• Experience of purchase and sales ledger and credit control functions
• An interest or experience of working within retail and/or theatre
• Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure at times
• Attention to detail and accuracy Desirable

Terms and Conditions
Hours: Full time, normal office hours 10am-6pm (Mon-Fri).
Salary: Upwards of £32,000 p.a, depending on experience
Annual Leave: 20 days per year plus standard bank holidays
Probationary period: Three months
Pension: Auto Enrolment Pension
