The Lion King score is by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice and includes The Circle of Life, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Hakuna Matata and He Lives in You.

The Lion King is based on the 1994 Walt Disney Animation Studios’ animated feature film of the same name and debuted in July 1997 in Minneapolis before transferring to Broadway in October 1997. It’s Broadway’s third longest-running show in history and has grossed more than $1 billion, making it the highest-grossing Broadway production of all time.
